Electoral Process for the Africa Representative at the HIC Board: Publication of Candidates' Documents

Dear African Members of Habitat International Coalition (HIC),

Receive the warm regards of the Electoral Committee (EC) Members that are conducting the process for the election of the next Representative for Africa at the HIC Board for 2018-2022.

After a break, we are now resuming the electoral process. We apologize for the delay in the process, the 3 month interruption is due to a long debate aiming to solve a dissention within the Electoral Committee in the lecture and understanding of some articles of the HIC By-Law regarding the validation of candidature.

We are happy to inform you that we have received the nominations of 3 (three) persons:

· Mrs. Ifeyinwa Ofong, Women in Development & Environment, Nigeria

Mr. Moussa Ka, Habitants et Travailleurs Baraka, Senegal
·
Mrs. Fatimata Soré/Zongo, Coalition Nationale de l’Habitat, Burkina Faso

According to HIC Constitution and By Law, theses nominations are valid.

We remind you that, following the requirements of the HIC By-law, only organization members in good standing have the right to vote for this process. This list states the organizations in good standing with the Coalition on July 17 2018.

Every change or modification of the electoral process (including the need to postpone the deadlines of the present calendar) will be communicated by the EC, after submission to the General Secretariat.
